Today I’m delighted to have another of my favorite bloggers filling in: Ashley from Bramblewood Fashion! I don’t remember where I found Ashley’s blog—whether she commented here or I found it via another blog—but I love reading about her sewing, outfit posts and creativity. When I emailed her about guest posting she instantly suggested an inspiration post, and since you know I love those, I couldn’t say yes fast enough! Enjoy—I know I did! – ♥ Casey
Hi y’all! It’s Ashley from Bramblewood Fashion. I’m so excited that Casey asked me to guest blog while she is moving. I know you all love looking at scans of magazines from the past. And what would you know? I have a Woman’s Home Companion magazine from November, 1937 to share with you all. Yay! I’ll just be sharing the fashion spread with y’all, because if I did all the ads, articles, recipes, etc….this post may never end. *laughs*
Aren’t those winter coats simply divine? And those boots & sweaters? Too cute!
Here we are shown what girls between the ages of eleven to seventeen might wear. I think the red dress is simply smashing!
Blouses. *sighs* I love looking at blouses in old magazines & catalogs. Because I never thought their blouses, or clothing for that matter, was so colorful! I guess I always thought of them wearing black & white, or more muted colors.
Perky and colorful little hats. I wouldn’t mind owning all three. What about you?
I love the wrapped detail on these dresses. Kinda reminds me of a Chinese dress.
Where is that time machine to travel back and buy everything I want?
Can I just have them all? Pretty, please?
