heartfelt thank you

Hello! Thank you all so, so much for your thoughts and prayers, comments and emails over the past couple weeks. I can hardly believe it’s been over two weeks since I last chatted with you all. Sadly, the cause for my short post was due to a death in my husband’s family; we had to travel on short notice to southern California for a week to be with family and attend the funeral. It was a bittersweet return to California for us both, and a sad time. Now we’re safely back home, my sister just arrived for her summer visit (three weeks!), and I’m catching up on sleep and with the blogworld (though at an utter snail’s pace!).

Posting shall resume very shortly, now that I’ve mostly recovered from the jet lag and can put two thoughts together. lol. Thank you all so much again; we have been so touched by all your comments.

Welcome home. I’m sorry for your and sailor husband’s loss.

Enjoy your sister’s visit :) and hit some great thrift shops for me!

aww. I am sorry for your loss! I had an uncle of mine who died two weeks ago, myself. It is never fun to have family members leave so suddenly. I pray that you will feel comfort, as well as your husband during the loss in his family.

Take some time to rest and recover thoroughly and to enjoy your summer viisitor!

I’m so sorry about the death in your husband’s family.
Sorry your trip to Calif. was under such sad circumstance.

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your sister. Does she like thrifting and vintage, too?

Glad you are safely home.

I’m so sorry to hear/read your bad news. It is a Jewish tradition to wish people a long life when they are in mourning – and to your husband too of course.

Condolence to that family member of your husband. Death is such a sad thing, the worst of all partings.

Just wanted to say that I’m so glad you’re back! I missed you in blogland. I’m very sorry it was such a sad event that took you away. Some years are just hard, aren’t they? I love your new sailor outift – amazing!
