Have you taken a peek at Lauren’s shop Wearing History lately? If not, you really must! She’s been adding a dizzying array of vintage patterns and high quality reproductions of hard-to-find vintage sewing patterns (a good thing for those of us on a tight sewing budget!), as well as other vintage goodies worth taking a look at. These are just a few of my favorite at the moment from her shop, but be sure to see for yourself what treasures she has!
- 01. A 30s sportswear pattern (high waist slacks or shorts and shirt) that reminds me of Katherine Hepburn’s casual style. (A reproduction pattern.)
- 02. This amazingly adorable 1950s playsuit pattern would be perfect for catching some (hoped for!) summer sunshine while looking super stylish.
- 03. A darling 40s panties and bloomers pattern is part of the vintage pattern reproduction line, and is also one of the first multi-sized patterns available!
- 04. I’m always drawn towards this sort of flattering, comfortable house dress or robe styles from the 40s, and this pattern features two of my favorite elements: pockets and a sash!
- 05. I love this casual, 50s blouse pattern–especially the striped view! Of course, it’d look cute in just about any other fabric too.

wow, what a great store! Now I want to hurry up and finish my projects so I can start new ones with these patterns. (I like not to have too many different projects going on at once.)
I’m in love! They are all so cute. Whoops, forgot to check out your shop. Now I have two shops to visit.
If only I could sew garments. Still working on beginner projects… Thanks for the inspiration.
I *love* Lauren’s shop. She has a great selection of vintage patterns. And, her own pattern line is getting to be full of things that make me crazy trying to decide which one I want. I want all of them, but that’s just being greedy
Casey, did you finish that bra of hers that you posted about? I am dying to know how it turned out.
Hi-
I am about purchase some vintage patterns and wanted to know if you could help me with sizing. Do you know how much of a difference the sizing is from today’s sizes?
Just what I’ve been looking for! (As if I am ever looking for anything else, pff.) I love the 40s knickers pattern, they always seem so much more comfortable than the wee things on offer today. But all the patterns are so lovely! I do hope more larger sizes get added, but I know they’re so hard to find in vintage clothes. I have an “outsize” pattern catalogue from the mid-40s that advertises “for up to 50 inch bust” which is about a modern 26, I think. If only I could find some of the patterns themselves!
