My apologies for lack of posting the past couple days; I managed to catch a nasty cold. Rather than writing a few rambling posts that would probably make no sense, I took a small break. I’m still sick, but thankfully can put a sentence together with some comprehension. lol!

This week’s vintage image isn’t the usual pretty fashion picture, but rather something that is not only fun to look at, but shows the ingenuity of 40s styles. I just love the idea of livening up a plain shirtwaist dress with an apron and snazzy buttons–how fun is that?!

What are your plans for this weekend? I’m really excited: we’re starting our swing dance classes (hopefully… we got an email about the class being canceled if the registration quota wasn’t met. I hope not!). I cannot wait to try my feet (lol!) at swing dancing! Hope you all have a lovely weekend, friends!

My plans are not that exiting. Trying to find out how to survive in a Swedish ice-desert as I´ll go on vacation in 2 weeks :-D

I too am looking at Swing dancing! I already West Coast Swing and Jive but I think it’s time to learn Lindy. You will love it, it is soooo addictive, and of course, a fantastic work out. I hope you class goes ahead.

Oh wow. I really like the Tu-tu idea.

If I wouldn’t look like one of the dancing hippos from Fantasia I’d totally be all over that idea.

Im sorry you’re ill :( . I’ve been down for 4 days with the stomach flu. Thank goodness it held off until my Holiday company went home.

The swing dancing lessons sound great!

Swing dancing is SO much fun, you’ll love it. Are you doing lindy hop? Lindy is my fav…look into Balboa as well, it is close and sweet, plus great for crowded dance floor when you can’t swing out! I’m now learning Blues aswell! I’ve been dancing for a while now and have just got home from a Lindy Hop camp, which was the most have i think i have EVER had, let me just say that the swing community alone is addictive, it takes a special type of person to replicate times of yesterday and not be bothered what people think…especially guys! Have fun, there is something so satisfying for lovers of vintage to be able to get up and dance to the tunes that they love…I can guarantee you’ll be hooked!! :)

Solanah January 9, 2010 at 03:42

Oh I’m sorry your sick! It’s terrible when your the kind of person who always likes to do something, especially creative, and you just don’t have the energy. I’m sure you’ll be up and dancing soon enough!

Thanks for including my pictures post! Glad you liked it ;)

xoxo
