I love your blog and all of your knitting and sewing projects! Very inspiring! The black trimmed snood looks soo cute!
I recently picked up this book off Amazon and thought it might interest you as you seem very much about the 1940's :)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Knitting-Fashions-1940s-Patterns-History/dp/1861268629/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1264335453&sr=8-1

All of the patterns in it are adapted from genuine 1940's patterns but modified to make the look slightly more appropriate for today but there is a bit in the back tracing the provenance of the garment should you prefer the original! There are some nice images in there and also another snood pattern which is what made me think of you when I was flicking through deciding where to start!

Thanks for the constant inspiration you give me!

Thanks for posting the patterns. I have a few that I have made with a simple crochet pattern my sister-in-law and I came up with ourselves that we even sold at our booth (until we retired this past year) at the faires. LOL, just what I need, another project *grin*

I love these!!! A recent pattern acquisition features a very glamorous woman in a snood, and I was just thinking they were one of those things that looks great on paper but I wasn't sure how really wearable they would be. I'm glad to be wrong!!

awh, Casey! You always manage to find a way to constantly impress with your sewing/knitting talents!! I only wish I had half of your creativity and skill!!!!! The stitches on that cream one are so beautiful, I think I might have to make it into a scarf!!!
