Thank you so much for your amazing response to the cardigan refashion tutorial! I’m just so delighted that it proved useful to others! This week’s inspiration week is a bit bigger than usual, partly because I have a long list of exciting links to share, and also because it’s the 100th inspiration week post!

- Lauren shared a really cute 30s hat pattern that you can crochet!
- I discovered this really neat clothing line called Clothespin via a link from a sweet reader (thank you!).
- A great vintage article illustrating how to set pincurls.
- Be sure to check out this fun 1920s fashion movie that Miriam shared!
- Be prepared to drool over the lovely images of gowns from of “The May Queen“.
- Gertie (my sewing hero), posted a really fantastic tutorial on creating a “layer cake” crinoline!
- If you love those little paper houses that seem to pop up around the holidays, be sure to check out these links.
- These faux-cupcake tree ornaments are just the cutest things I’ve seen!
Our plans for this weekend are squarely in the seasonal category: finish baking Christmas goodies (have to send my parents a box of cookies!), decorate our tree, and finish getting all the decorations up. Well, I actually have to finish a few of the decorations I’m making. lol! Do you have any special things lined up for your weekend? Or are you just planning a cozy few days in? Whichever the case, I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

NOW, a crinoline tutorial! My sister was going to make one for underneath her bridesmaids dress and had just decided to let that idea slip away, because really, the taffeta is stiff enough alone.
Beautiful inspirations, as always, Casey! I love that red cape and the calico cat…

Those cupcake ornaments are so cute, and since I’ve been rather Christmas crafty lately I think I’ll have to whip some up. In the same vein as those vintage cupcakes here is a link to some darling holly brooches from Martha Stewart Living. http://www.marthastewart.com/how-to/felt-holly-corsage

I always look forward to the links you post. I love the tutorials and the crafts. I am planning on reading my sewing books and doing some beginner projects this weekend. I hope to go see the Christmas lights at the botanical gardens and down at the beach with my husband and son. Have fun baking and decorating. Tis the season…

Yes, here in Sweden we celebrate the fiest of St Lucy, very traditional holiday just before christmas on December 13. Wikipedia has a short article about it in English: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Lucy%27s_Day

I’ll do be doing the same things this weekend! I have a few more tree ornaments to finish crocheting and some embroidered/cross stitched ones to get stuffed and sewed. (My craft room looks like Santa’s workshop exploded)
I’ve got 6 dozen chocolate covered cherries to make …..dozens of cookies to bake….bread to get baked….and my apartment to get spotless before my Christmas Company arrives next Friday.
I’m planning on this being the best Christmas EVAR!
As always, thanks for the inspiration to keep me moving!

Thanks for linking to my crinoline tutorial, Casey! It just got COLD here in NYC, so I hope to finish my coat (or at least come close!) this weekend.

You lucky person! Everyone in my house is either studying for before Christmas tests (me), marking exams (my parents), or whining (younger siblings).
Will we get to see pictures of your tree?

I love gertie! I think you and her are my sewing heroines! Christmas cookies sound good. I think the hubby and I will be taking a trip to the library and I will sigh a deep sigh of relief that school is over for the semester and then get to crafting!

I love the little trees in the photo montage, and the Clothespin link is very interesting. I need to start sewing after the first of the year.
