happy thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my US readers! I think that beside Christmas, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s not so much for the food (though that is a perk!), but rather for the day spent with family. I have such fond memories of Thanksgiving Day growing up: we always spent it at my grandparent’s house. Usually there was a fire going in each fireplace. You could smell the turkey roasting when we arrived and there was always a stash of delicious cherry tarts tempting me!
I have so many things to be thankful for this year; even things I don’t initially think are “thankful things”, but end up being so in the long run! hehe! The thing I am probably most thankful for this year is able to just spend time with Sailor Husband as much as I have; I think of all the military personnel who are away from their families this time of year, and my heart goes out to them. I am also very thankful for you all! This year has been pretty tough for me. I don’t want to go into details, but knowing that I have a bunch of friends–even though I haven’t met many of them–has brightened my darkest days. Thank you!
What are you thankful for in 2009?

Besides being thankful for this blog?
I’m thankful for the fact that so far my health issues are not too serious – currently awaiting a biopsy for Celiac disease in January – or at the least, are treatable (Celiac isn’t the only thing going on, stupid aging body *lol*). I’m thankful to have my friends and family. I’m thankful for my new and better view on life and myself. I’m thankful to still have a job. And way too much else to list.
Have yourself a fantastic (American) Thanksgiving, ma’am! -

I totally agree, sometimes the things that are the most difficult turn into the biggest blessings. This year has been the most difficult of my life and I’m so very Thankful this Thanksgiving. I have a wonderful family and amazing friends.

I’m thankful for my family and friends. I’m thankful that I am able to be a part of my nephew’s life, care for him and form a strong bond.
I’m thankful that I’ve found what I love to do, and have all intentions of making that my livelihood.I’m also thankful for this blog! And for the friends I’ve been able to make through social networks and blogs like this one. ^_^

Happy thanksgiving!
We had thanksgiving over a month ago, but I was thankful that I have made some amazing friends, both in real life and online, and that I seem to have gotten over my mild depression.

I’m thankful that my husband survived his recent medical crisis; he went in for what was supposed to be a routine surgery, and almost died. It was touch-and-go for a long time, and I am grateful for all the family and friends who supported me through that awful time. Now my husband is home and slowly recovering, and Thanksgiving has taken on a whole new meaning for us.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
