sponsor spotlight: personal picks

I would once again like to extend a big thank you to all my sponsors! It is truly a joy to be able to work with such lovely, independent entrepreneurs! Today, I’d like to draw your attention to one of my long-time advertisers: Crafty Crow Vintage.

  • 01. Quite possibly the perfect 1950s little black dress! It even has a jacket (shown) to dress it up a bit (and make it more practical for the early autumn).
  • 02. I have been absolutely wild about tapestry bags this season! They’re a great way to add some color and a bit of artsy flair to every outfit. Plus, they can transition well from cardigan to full wool coat season and still look stylish.
  • 03. Just because summer is over, doesn’t mean that a pair of stylish sunglasses is out of season! I just adore the metal detailing along the frames and ear pieces…

Brook carries a wide array of tempting vintage items; I have the rss feed for her Etsy shop on my Google page, and my jaw constantly drops when I see what new and gorgeous goodies she’s put up for sale. These are just a small handful of my recent picks from her shop, so be sure to drop by for even more vintage wares!

  • 04. With the holidays right around the corner, so are some dress up parties! I just love this elegant 1960s cocktail dress with that gorgeous lace detail!
  • 05. Looking to jump on the plaid bandwagon? (I, along with everyone else, can’t seem to resist the siren call this season!) This beautiful example of a 50s plaid wool jacket is just the thing to keep you warm and sport a jaunty plaid!

If you are the owner of a vintage shop, creative business, or blog, and interested in advertising on Casey’s Elegant Musings, please drop my an email for rates and fact sheet.

I love vintage tapestry anything! I love that handbag! I have a VERY LONG tapestry clutch, probably about 16″ that I bought that still had a ticket from an Army wives meeting in Florida. I don’t think it had a date but I could tell from some of the fonts used that it had to be from the early 60′s. There was a gorgeous tapestry coat on Ebay not too long ago, it had a HUGE portrait collar. I purposefully didn’t watch the auction because I knew I would get into trouble!

I’m with you on the tapestry bags! They keep popping up on my radar screen. That black dress and jacket is so sharp! Nice picks.
