sew magazine feature

07.27.09 {interview!}

I’ve been meaning to post about this, but totally forgot to until now! A couple months ago I was contacted by an editor of Sew magazine, which is a UK publication. She was interested in doing a short interview with me about my sewing–I was so delighted! I kind of forgot about it (so horrible of me!) until a package from the UK arrived in the mail the week I had that nasty cold. lol. I was pleasantly shocked to see that my interview was so big and prominent! hehe! It’s a bit weird to see photos of oneself in a magazine… especially across the page from the ethereal Audrey and fabulous Dita. A big thank you to the lovely editors at Sew magazine for featuring little ol’ me!

If you’d like to read my interview (and see the huge pictures of me–rofl!), I’ve got a big image here. I’m so excited and honored!!

On another note, want to see where we went this weekend? Take a peek! We had an absolutely glorious time, despite the oppressive heat and humidity, and deciding to forgo the fireworks (beat the crowds to the parking lot!). I got my long-coveted Mickey Mouse ears, visited the Alice in Wonderland tea cup ride, and spent the day exclaiming that I couldn’t believe I was finally here! (It’s been a childhood dream of mine to go to Disney’s Magic Kingdom, and at 24 I finally did!)

I hope you all had a lovely, magical weekend too!

Casey,

Now THIS is something to blog about!

Congratulations, I am thoroughly impressed! I will just have to tell my friends. My I use your large picture of the magazine page on my post? Of course I would link it to you.

By the way, you look very cute in your Mickey Mouse ears.

♥Hope

P.S. Is there a way my information that you want entered (blog/email) can be saved so that I do not have to type it all in each time?

Sara July 27, 2009 at 13:43

And yay for going to Disney World! I still can’t believe that I grew up in the south and never went. (all of my friends growing up went and would come back laden with Mickey ears and photos with Cinderella…I felt so left out) Perhaps one day I too will finally make it there!
