I have been such a bad blogger this week! I think I just needed a tiny break to recharge my imagination. hehe! What has been occupying my waking hours this week is sewing. Mostly working on some drafting, testing, and trying not to get frustrated with problems present themselves! Hopefully I will have something to show you all next week…

- Fantastic tips to consider next time you’re tempted to make an impulse purchase
- This fun Barbie-inspired makeup look has been inspiring me lately!
- Jen made the most sweet modifications to a Built by Wendy pattern!
- I am loving this interior space featured on Design*Sponge
- A beautiful hair braiding tutorial from Anna!

This week’s inspiration image is again from 1950 and features one of my favorite fabric patterns: stripes! Who doesn’t love a good stripe? I wish I could find a similar fabric (though maybe not seersucker; I’m not a huge fan of the fabric weave)–it’s so colorful! Oh, and making it up in an equally cute swimsuit and beach jacket (with the obligatory sunhat) is a must too. lol!
So without further ado and to spare you of my technical-sewing ramblings, I hope you all have a lovely and inspiring weekend!

I love that picture of the roses! Sooo pretty!
That impulse buying post is just brilliant!
im enjoying your flickr faves and inspiration links, it sure helps to have these rather than just surf all day and not come up with half as much fun things to look at on my own! thanks for sharing

I like the pics up top. That 50′s photo reminds me of all the matching things back then. There’s something nice about that. Good luck with all the sewing.
I always love your Friday inspirations posts – and I am now dangerously addicted to that mosaic application on Flickr Toys…!

Casey,
As I thought, your blog is extremely indicative of yourself! Creative, classy, elegant, and AMUSING! I love it. So sorry I haven’t visited til now. I’m so motivated by your sewing skills…alas, I never learned. Perhaps someday. haha.
Have you made a vintage style swimsuit yet?
Lovely pictures =)
Hey!
Those links are really fabulous thank you! I´m definitely going to try both the barbie make-up and the hair braiding tutorials, they both look really interesting – and easy to follow which is a must for a klutz like me! Plus, that ‘Avoid impulse buying article’ is a gem, I may have to print that out and take it with me next time I go shopping!
Hope the sewing projects are going well, and that you have a lovely weekend re-charging the imagination batteries!
Katy xoxo
