lovelies…

03.17.09 {tea goodies}

A tea cake from the afternoon tea my mom and I attended last week.

Mom and I had a lovely week together–thank you all for your sweet comments! We had afternoon tea, rummaged through an amazing antique shop, went to the aquarium, ate lots of food, and went thrifting. The latter was the most adventurous day, and we both managed to find some pretty amazing things. I was being really good and trying not to go whole-hog, but I found something I’m really excited about… I’ll post about it tomorrow I think! I’m a bit sad today that she’s gone; even Mr. Freckles is a little less frisky than he’s been the last few days. I guess the homesickness finally hit! Miss you, Mom!

Vintage for sale! Click here to go to my listings.

Over the weekend I managed to squeeze in listing some vintage at Market Publique. I was approached about opening up a shop, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this new site! This new auction site is a breath of fresh air compared to Ebay, and I’m curious to see how it is next to Etsy in the long run. I love that it’s devoted to vintage, which makes it much easier to browse through than either Etsy or Ebay! Do hop on over there and check it out; be sure to pop by Elegant Musings Vintage too! (If you’re curious about my seller ratings, I’ve got feedback here and here.)

Cheerio, darlings!

    That hair of yours is working out a dream! With the shorter layers, can you get it all up without bits sticking out? I ask as I need to have mine cut again. I had a VERY bad trim the other day which took off three inches and ruined the shape of it all. Sigh.. :)

    Moms are the best! I love going to afternoon tea with my mom as well, she’s one of the only people who will do that kind of thing with me:)

    Oh I can totally understand you! My parents also came for a short visit on the weekend and I miss my mom already! Next time I’ll see them will be Easter break … it seems like such a long time!
    I am so excited about your vintage finds though! Looking forward to that post.

    Hi Casey,
    You are looking divine!

    I recently purchased a red lipstick and, although not the exact one you recommended, I think I came close. Please tell me what you think Oh Queen of Red Lipstick!

    Thanks so much,
    Mervat

    Ooh – that tea looks scrumptious! Can’t wait to see the goodies you found with your Mom. The new site is terribly exciting. I always get frustrated with Etsy and Ebay because you can’t find the vintage goodness easily.

    Hello Casey!
    You look so sweet and gorgeous, your hair in particular is immaculate.
    I love spending time with my mum- sounds like we have very similar days to yours!
