Sailor Husband and I went to the mall over the weekend, and I decided to quickly stop in Forever 21 for a peek at the sunglasses. I usually don’t go in, but I was looking for a pair of new aviators (incredibly hard to find a pair that isn’t too square-ish). Besides those, I also found an amazing pair of sunnies that are a pretty good facsimile of 1940s sunglasses (at least in my opinion!). They were less than $6–far less than the real thing sells for! I snatched those up and have been happily sporting them since. They had a Heritage 1981 tag, although I can’t find them anywhere on the website. But if these are up your alley, I’d suggest swinging by your local Forever 21 to see if you can find them!

Utterly adorable.
They’re PERFECT for yas, doll!
i wish i had a local forever21, but sweden (and definately not my hometown) havn’t got one yet.
Hi Casey,
I really love your blog and I adore your new design. That’s why I nominated your blog for two awards! Hope you like it…
Love, Betsy.
Ah sunglasses, the other bane of one’s existence (the first being bathing suits, of course!) I have a terrible time finding any, as I have a very wide face, but these look great on you. Don’t you love finding stuff like this?
I wish I were in Florida right now! If I want to wear sunglasses, I have to wear them with a tuque…not very comfortable or good looking.
P.S. I love your blog’s graphics! You did them yourself, I think.
Those glasses are great! I didn’t look at anything but blouses when I went. Shame on me! My fav glasses of all time are my classic ray bans, but I’ve been lusting after a pair like that. Have a great day!

Oh, I must get myself down to Forever 21 for a pair of these! I’m always on the search for vintage or vintage-inspired sunglasses and can only find those huge bug-eyed ones. These are so classic looking. What a great find!
These are such a special find! The more I look at them, the more I’m tempted to go see if they are in my local store.
Love the Gene Tierney capture. It’s amazing how similar yours are to hers!
Oh how perfect!
The sunglasses look great on you! They are a nice size too. I spotted some lovely aviators on the Forever 21 website, but didn’t get to purchase on time! (Put off by the international shipping charge). I have a small face and most sunglasses today look silly on me, hehe.
PS Thank you for your sweet replies through e-mail
they are such a lovely personal touch.
Hello Casey!! Firstly those glasses are stunning on you! I love them, I would buy a pair but in Australia we don’t have a Forever 21! Secondly I absolutely LOVE reading your blog!Your a source of vintage inspiration for me!!!
