(A photo from our honeymoon in the Florida Keys (this is Key West). The sky was really that blue!)
Hello, dear friends! How was your weekend? Sailor Husband and I had a lovely first-Valentine’s Day (as a married couple). We spent the afternoon at the Tampa aquarium, dinner at a fantastic Japanese restaurant, and the evening was topped off watching our hometown hockey team (Washington Capitals) win against the Tampa team! Unfortunately, the camera we brought with us proved to have dead batteries, so no photos. Boo-hoo!
Over the past few weeks, I have discovered a few Flickr photostreams that have some lovely and inspiring vintage images. They have been a source of much inspiration for my daily outfits and sketchbook lately! I hope you enjoy these…

Oooh, pretty pictures! I’m always inspired when I come to your blog.
I love how you refer to him as Sailor-husband. It’s very sweet. Florida Keys looks amazing, and I adore your inspiration images. Those ladies are so lovely!
OK, I feel like a jerk because I usually read your blog in Google Reader and I haven’t seen your wonderful new layout ’till now. You’re so good at internet design!
I love these photostreams, too . . . The blouse on the lower right!!!
I love the vintage patterns on Ladyday_05 must add her to my flicker. You would have loved the Manhattan Vintage Show. Next time you come to NY try to make it around one of their shows. You’d be in heaven.
Congrats on your Wedding!
That blue sky is AMAZING! I really wish it was that nice here in Canada… Haha wishful thinking!
I love the vintage images… might we be able to get a peek of your sketchbook someday? I’d love to see what you have in there…
Hi there!
Cute inspiration! Vintage vogue = lovely. You should check out a book called Fashion Drawing in Vogue by William Packer. It’s amazing with heaps of cute drawings of capes & dresses…
I’ll take that blue sky anyday. It’s so gray here in Holland right now!
Oooh lovely photostreams. I always hate it when I take my camera out and the batteries die or I forget to stick an SD in it – happens far too often!
What a great photo! When I saw it, I was instantly drawn to the sky and wondered if it was that dramatic. Wow!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sky that blue. Maybe one day…..
That image of Liz Taylor gave me goosebumps! Oh, to be so effortlessly sultry.
Loved both those streams – great find! I’ve been trying to follow a No Jeans rule everyday when I dress for work and I find these types of pictures very inspiring! Thanks for sharing
Wow, great inspiration photos! Looks like you had a beautiful honeymoon too! x
