:: computer troubles ::

Dearest friends,

Thank you all so much for your lovely thoughts, well-wishes and congratulations these past few weeks! The wedding was absolutely amazing… far better than I could have imagined, and for well under budget. *wink* Sailor Husband and I have relocated to our new home in Florida (with minimal move drama… although I swear I’m still missing my box that has a red teapot and my muffin tins!!!), and I’m starting to get used to the new climate. I have so much to share with you, so many new impressions, news and ideas that are floating through my head…

But alas, shortly after we got settled in our home (post honeymoon; I was on a self-imposed computer/internet ban for two weeks!), my laptop picked up a nasty virus that is still lurking about my harddrive someplace. So, despite our best efforts to eradicate said nasty, my computer is out of comission right now. Which means I don’t have access to any of the photos I had edited and prepared to upload. I’m really dissapointed that I can’t share all the wonderful scenes and details with you right now! (I’m on Sailor Husband’s computer to type this.) Hopefully by the first of the New Year my computer will be back to normal and working again, but until then I won’t be writing any blog posts. Look for some wedding reports and creative goodness in 2009!

Have a lovely and blessed holiday season!

So nice to get an update! It sounds like the wedding was wonderful – I’m so glad! I’m in the middle of setting up house in a new apartment, so I can imagine you have enough things you could fill your days with.. None the less, I think we all look forward to January and some pictures, etc!

Hi! First time visitor, just wanted to say THANK YOU for the 1940′s pin-up hair tutorial…. there are others on YouTube but yours actually showed me what to do with the hair in back and also how to twist the side bits… having my first attempt at the hair and hoping to wear it to a 1940s event.. if so will send you pictures :P

Congratulations on your recent marriage!

Rhiannon January 17, 2009 at 12:54

Have you read the biography of Mabel Normand by (I think?) Betty Fussell? That’s one of the best/weirdest ones I’ve read!! I can’t remember if we’ve talked about this before . . . this lady, Betty, goes to interview relatives and people who knew Mabel and she gets caught up in strange relationships that are almost as interesting as the parts on Mabel!

Oh, and I’ve been missing your blog a ton! Every time you leave my comment I get my hopes up and check to see if you’ve started blogging again, :)
