No, I have not disappeared into the abyss, just been sucked into the vortex of pre-wedding crazy! Between all the little loose ends we’re scrambling to tie up and excitement, I’ve been very negligent about updating (and even checking my email–bad Casey!). But! I have finally finished editing the hairstyle tutorial I recorded a couple weekends ago. It’s a bit more condensed than the last one (finally figured out how to work this movie editing software that was bundled with the web camera!), so if you’re not familiar with some of the techniques in part 1 of my first tutorial, I’d recommend reviewing that.
I’m super excited about this hair tutorial–it’s a bit more streamlined than the other, and I really am smitten with how to fix the back hair. lol! I hope you all enjoy it! Please do let me know if you try it out for yourself–I’d love to see hear how it works for you.
Anyhow, now I will go crawl back into my wedding-hole. I promise to emerge at least once more! haha! Thank you all for your lovely, and thoughtful emails of late as well. They have really brightened my days! Have a lovely evening, my dears!

this is SO EXCITING!!! thanks for posting, I love hair tutorials! I am so so so lazy with my hair, most of the time I look like such a hippy. My hair is way too long, and tangles, I don’t want to cut now so maybe I’ll try something new like you posted here.
gorgeous! might try this out next week as I have a wedding to go to
Hi Casey! I always watch your hair tutorals, and I find them so helpful and interesting. I must say that your style really inspires me, but it is very difficult to find vintageclothes or clothes inspired from the 1940′s in Norway.
Anyway, my question for you is how do you attach the bobby pins to your hair so that they hold? I have very thick, slightly wavy hair (my hairdresser said she had never seen so thick hair) and I can’t get my hair to stay in this hairdo because the bobby pins don’t hold my hair up. Have you any suggestions for perhaps an alternative to bobby pins for people with thick hair?
I just wanted to drop a note and say that I love your blog. I actually got married less than 2 months ago, so it was a real treat to read about someone who was trying to also have a vintage-esque wedding too. Well, that and we have the same name.
If only I hadn’t gotten my hair all chopped off after the wedding, then I would be attempting these wonderful tutorials. I can’t wait to see how your wedding turns out. Best wishes!
Very cute!!
My hair is perhaps too long for this (I’m in great need of a trim, methinks)….but I am about to try it none the less!! I’m such a horrible hair dresser!! Did you use the old fashioned ‘u’ shaped bobby pins…or the pinchy ones? I have both…..but hate to use the pinchy ones as they break my hair.
Thanks for taking the time to post such a lovely tutorial, Casey!
Best wishes for your wedding! I’m sure it will be beautiful, indeed!
Love the video! It’s getting so close to your wedding, how exciting!

Fabulous video Casey! It won’t work on my hair, but some ideas are triggering nonetheless. Don’t worry about the blog posting, I’m sure none of us mind given that you are very busy with wedding related things at the moment. Hope everything goes wonderfully!
So nice to see a post from you! I sincerely missed your presence in Blog Land this past week! And how exciting.. a tutorial! Yay!

Watching you do your hair in this FANTASTIC vid makes me realize exactly how lazy I am about hairstyling. You’re the queen, Casey! Goooood luck with all wedding-related doings.
Such a lovely video, you are so pretty with your hair like that! Your tutorials are fantastic… Have fun with the wedding plans!
See you,
M.
Beautiful, Casey! I love it. And you look darling!
You are unbelievably cute!!!! Now that I’ve chopped my hair off, I don’t have too much to work with, which will make my search for wedding styles a bit extensive!
Loved your tutorial! I should try to work up the courage to post a video sometime, what do you say??
I whish my hair could grow! i’ve had the same lenght for years and it just won’t grow
your hair is so thick!
You tutorial was very nice, thank you so much! Need to try it later; I have tried your first one and it worked though my hair is very slippery and thin. I need more practise…
Congrats for your wedding and moving. See you back in few weeks!
Greetings from Oola, Finland.
Hello Casey I seen your video on youtube with the 1940s hairstyle and you make it look so easy. I always wanted to do something like that with my hair but never really could get it right. I have wavy hair just like yours and I hate it, And plus im a mom so I dont really have time to do my hair. But you show us a way to do your hair really cute without straightning it or curling it. I always thought that doing your hair in a 1940s style would be kinda hard but you make it seem simple so I just wanted to thank you I guess and your such a sweetheart. When I do my hair I’ll let you know how it turned out. Goodluck with everything and when you have more ideas for hairstyles please be sure to post it for us so we all can learn how to do it. Thanks for reading
Thanks for the wonderful video! Can’t wait to try it!
Hi! I found your blog via the Colette blog, anyways, thank you so much for this tutorial! I have medium length hair and with Summer right around the corner, I always struggle with what to do with it and hate the plain ponytail. I am going to have to try some of your techniques only accomodate for my short hair. Thanks again! Love your blog too by the way!
Thank you so much for posting this tutorial! My hair is about the same length and texture as yours and the instructions were perfect!!!
