Or the tale of the one that didn’t get away…
This lovely dress came in the mail on Saturday! It’s an Ebay purchase (for once–the Ebay gods smiled on me!) that I got for a wedding L. and I are going to this weekend. (He’s flying back up for one of his best friend’s wedding that we were invited to. I am so excited! lol) Oddly enough, I didn’t really have anything appropriate for a mid-afternoon wedding in September in my closet…

The color reminds me of orange-creamsicles, probably one of my favorite summertime treats! It’s not a shade of peach/orange that I usually pick, but I rather fancy it now! I really love the fit too–as soon as I put it on, I thought it looked like something Bridgette Bardot would’ve worn (at least in the shape) in the mid to late 1950s. In fact, I think I shall do my hair in an early 60s style for Saturday.

I had another post typed up for today, but it was about fall footwear, and honestly, today feels like the farthest thing from fall! lol. Plus, I don’t want to bore you all to tears with my posts about vintage inspired fashion. But I do hope you’ll enjoy this week’s Vintage Monday image! These are from some late 1930s/early 40s pattern booklets I purchased on Ebay years ago. I only just rediscovered the scans on my computer! Looking at them is putting me in a more fallish mood…

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last few posts too. I always love hearing your thoughts! TTFN!
